Water Supply Project in Yeghnik village, Aragatsotn Region

ADRA Armenia’s beneficiary Vachagan Suvaryan expressed his gratitude for our WASH (Water, Sanitation & Hygiene) Project in Yeghnik village, Aragatsotn region. “We had no water. We had to pay all bills for farmlands although didn’t have water to do agriculture and get some profit. Now we can DRINK CLEAR WATER, water the trees, cultivate plants, grow food and make profits. We were so happy to see ADRA in our community. Before that no one was paying attention to us, we were neglected by everyone. ADRA CARED, ADRA CHANGED.”
ADRA Armenia implemented a WASH project in Yeghnik village in 2014.

CHC in Ararat

Our project of Children Helping Children started from the city of Ararat.
50 children participated in a beautiful Christmas event, where the team of ADRA Armenia performed Christmas songs for children, played games and presented the story of the Savior’s birth.  It was very nice to hear also the singing of two of project participants, who performed Armenian national songs. At the end of the project the children received the presents prepared by ADRA Armenia.

Educational Tours in Margahovit Village

ADRA Armenia is currently implementing a project in   Margahovit village, which consists in organizing an education adventure for young adults that includes visiting important historical places, art galleries, and theater. Educational adventure tours provide the participants the opportunity of learning through travel, especially to places that they might not have the chance to visit by themselves.

Visiting places of historical importance, participants gain a better understanding about their history and culture. This boosts the participants’ interest in being an active citizen in Armenia. By coming into direct contact with a different environment, participants of the tours better understand their place in the community and develop openness to differences in others.
